How can I cancel my Macy’s Star Rewards card?

Hi everyone, I opened a Macy’s Star Rewards card few week ago. When was opening this card, I thought this is just a store card. But I saw my credit report today, my report shows me that this Macy’s Star Rewards card is a credit card. I want to cancel this card, because I have 3 credit card already, and I don’t go to macy’s a lot, so I want to cancel it. Do anyone know how can I cancel this card.

Does cancelling this card hurt my credit score?

      Just call the 1-800 number on the back of the card. And yes it will effect your credit!

      Call the customer service number on the back of your card or in the paper work you got. Just tell them you want to cancel it. They may want you to send it back to them but usually not. Just cut it up then and throw it away.

      Canceling this one won’t hurt your score. Canceling the ones you’ve had longest hurt your score.
