macy

Macy offers 20% discount and 100 dollars in Macy’s money once you’ve successfully completed your holiday assignment Borders offers 30% discount although I think Borders would be a more low key job I’m leaning towards them because I already have a full time position. Any opinions.

Macy’s, although not a low end retailer can attract less educated people, especially at Christmas.

Border’s appeals more to higher educated readers. I don’t know many violent avid readers.

Christmas is a nightmare in retail. I managed a whole slew of mall kiosks for an independent company for 5 years. I was sworn at, had my products thrown in my face, screamed at, accused of lying, had security called on me, the list, goes on and on.

Unless a huge Macy’s fan/customer already and If I were in your shoes, I would work at Borders, hands down. Not to say that you won’t run into idiots there, but I think the chances of trash, er customers, getting angry because you don’t have the sale pants in a size 5x will be a lot less.

Good luck to you in your decision.

I too am a reader, and if I had those choices, I would definitely jump at the chance to work at Borders.

But thats just my personal choice
