Energy Efficient Appliances : What They Are

Efficient energy use (sometimes called energy efficiency) lets you save money while being green, and helping the planet and your fellow man. With that having been said, sometimes energy efficient options cost a little bit more initially. However these costs are really investments, because usually the energy efficient appliances (whether they’re cookers or lighting) save you money in the long run. For example, our dishwasher cost about $50 more, but I calculated with the energy saving option, I am saving about that much per year. That means after this year, the dishwasher earns me $50 per year! Eventually, the dishwasher will pay itself off entirely. That’s hard to beat.
