Which prepaid cell phone should I get?

I lived overseas for a while and while I was there I used a prepaid cell phone. I really liked this a lot because I could buy the number of minutes I could afford, and I didn’t have to worry about accidentally going over my minutes and getting a huge bill. I have seen that there are a bunch of different prepaid programs available here in the US. I was thinking of trying a Tracfone Prepaid Cell Phone, is this a good company? Where can I find out more about my options for prepaid cell phones? I want to be able to make an informed decision.
