Driving from the Pgh., PA area East to attend the Macy’s Day Parade in Manhattan, NY. Thinking to get a hotel on the PA side of things & get subway/train transportation to the parade route. Can that be done? Which hotel to book that’s closet to a subway station? How long of a subway ride from point A to point B? Costs involved? Any veteran Macy Day parade goers insider information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Drive to Newark, NJ and park on the street near the Newark Penn Station. Take the PATH train to 33rd St. and the parade is a few blocks away. Stay at the Hilton Newark.
